Mahjong Fundraiser Raises Over $25K For The Community Fund Of Darien
Money will go towards The Community Fund of Darien's 2026 grant pool.

DARIEN, CT — The Community Fund of Darien announced this week it raised over $25,000 for its 2026 grant pool through the first-ever Mahjong for Good fundraiser
The sold-out fundraising event was held on Nov. 6 at Woodway Country Club, and welcomed over 150 local mahjong enthusiasts and Community Fund supporters for a night of play and shared commitment to caring for their neighbors.
The grant pool provides grant money to local nonprofits supporting the basic needs of neighbors in Stamford, Norwalk, and Darien – providing access to food, housing, physical and mental health care, employment skills, youth success programs, and emergency services.
