Harriette "Happy" Clarke Thorne, 100, who died Sept. 6, 2025, was an English graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, longtime Noroton Presbyterian Church member, and active volunteer involved with the Red Cross, DAR, Chi Omega alumni, Sweet Adelines, scouting, community groups, travel, and golf.

Dr. Penelope "Penny" Bowers, 85, who died Sept. 1, 2025, was a physician and senior leader in drug safety at Boehringer Ingelheim, an avid sailor who enjoyed her sloop VERITAS, and a world traveler with a lifelong devotion to animals.

Nancy B. Lewis, 96, who died Sept. 1, 2025, was an educator with degrees from the College of Wooster, Ohio State, and Butler University, who enjoyed researching genealogy, tracing her lineage to the American Revolution, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
