Andrew J. “Andy” Wainacht, 89, died Aug. 8, 2025, after a long illness; a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, retired New Canaan Police Department Detective Sergeant, and former school crossing guard, he enjoyed a long career in law enforcement and service to his community.

Mary Lopiano, 79, died July 28, 2025, after a brief illness; she worked in real estate for over 50 years, enjoyed Nantucket, boating on Long Island Sound, gardening, caring for animals—especially her dachshunds—and was an avid supporter of her grandchildren’s activities.

Peter Eric Ruhlin, 64, died July 27, 2025; a corporate finance attorney who became Chief Legal Officer at Steward Partners, he was an avid skier, golfer, and outdoorsman who also enjoyed biking, windsurfing, boating, and home projects, and was active in nonprofit and community leadership.

Allison A. Gallagher, 66, died July 7, 2025, after a long battle with cancer; she worked as a paralegal, was active in Noroton Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, jewelry design, floral arranging, and caring for animals.
