Charlotte A. Pacelli (Char/Gramz/Nana), 85, passed away on March 10, 2025, after a long battle with advanced dementia; a longtime Darien resident, she volunteered for the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, and Darien Senior Center, worked election polls, was an avid gardener, baker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a lifelong Boston Red Sox and Navy football fan, and spent summers in Kennebunk, ME, enjoying family traditions, leaving behind her sons Gerald (Jay) Pacelli Jr. and Christopher Pacelli (Angela Gomez), grandsons Michael (Erica) and Joseph (Erin), seven great-grandchildren, siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
James Philip Clucus (Jim/G), 74, passed away on March 6, 2025; a Fitchburg State graduate with a psychology degree, he built a career in human resources, business management, and commercial real estate, was a dedicated sports enthusiast who embraced basketball, football, baseball, skiing, golf, and the camaraderie they brought; leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and a reminder that showing up is paramount; survived by his daughters Nicole Austin (Jonathan) and Jacquelyn Clucus, as well as his grandchildren Sophie, Lila, Ryder, and Hunter.

Nicholas P. Augustus, Sr., 96, passed away on Feb. 19, 2025, after a long career in the automotive industry, owning Augustus Bros. Service Station for over 32 years, guest teaching power mechanics at Darien High School, earning awards from Getty Oil, serving as a U.S. Army motor pool member in post-war Italy, and enjoying golf from his early days as a caddy to becoming a charter member of PGA National Golf Club, achieving a hole-in-one at 75, while also dedicating time to St. John Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Piedmont Club, leaving behind four children, eight grandchildren, soon-to-be 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Suzanne Theresa Leo Bouton, 92, passed away on Feb. 17, 2025; a Wheaton College graduate with a background in psychology, she was a dedicated library cataloguer at The Darien Public Library, an active volunteer with the Junior League, PTAs, and St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, an avid reader and lifelong sailor who raced Snipes at Norwalk Yacht Club and crewed aboard the family’s Ensign, spent summers on Fishers Island, traveled extensively in retirement, and is survived by three children, six grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
