'Always Willing To Help Others': Darien Star Student Athlete

DARIEN, CT — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Luke is a star soccer player. He spends countless hours practicing at the field. You can see him weekends at the Darien High School field practicing on his game. In addition to his practice hours, Luke volunteers with the DSA coaches to help the younger soccer players learn the game. He is a team player and loved by all his teammates! Voted MVP on The DHS JV team this year. His competitive drive and his volunteer spirit make him a local athlete with team spirit!
