Traffic Advisory Issued For 2025 Darien Road Race: Here's What To Know

Motorists and residents should expect short-term delays and detours along the race route, police said.

DARIEN, CT — With the annual Darien Road Race scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 21, at 9 a.m., and approximately 500 racers expected to participate, police have issued a traffic advisory.

The race will begin at Pear Tree Point Beach. Impacted roads will include:

  • Pear Tree Point Road
  • Long Neck Point Road
  • Goodwives River Road
  • Sunswyck Road
  • Tory Hole Road
  • Delafield Island Road
  • Red Coat Pass
  • Old Kings Highway South
  • Locust Hill Road
  • Andrews Drive

Motorists and residents of the area should expect short-term delays and detours along the race route, police said.

Boat launches from the Darien Boat Club at Pear Tree Beach will be suspended during the race hours of 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
