New operators ‘Salt Jacket Booking,’ a local concert promotion entity in the area, promise to create a vibrant and inclusive environment where music lovers of all ages can come together and celebrate their passion.

With a focus on providing a safe space for the local community, the festival is also dedicated to showcasing exceptional local talent while bringing in renowned national touring headliners to cap off the night.

Festival Director and Salt Jacket Booking Co-Founder, TJ Redding, a lifelong Connecticut resident and frequent concert-goer in the New Haven area, said the "local music scene is so important."

"Not only does it give everyone the chance to have a creative outlet and become a part of something they love, it opens the opportunity for them to share their art," Redding said. "The main issue with the current state of the scene is the lack of these opportunities on a larger scale."

Redding said that though "hundreds of national touring acts come through the state each year," there's often "no local support on the bill."

"The inception of this festival was based on one simple idea: providing these local musicians with a platform to showcase their talent to a core audience, provided by the headlining acts," he said. "Every band starts off at the local level, and typically the ones who make it just get lucky. These days it becomes more and more difficult to be heard as a local artist, and we are focused on curating this fest to be the stroke of luck they need to get there. This is a celebration of the CT DIY music scene."

Shoreline Summer Festival tickets are just $20 pre-sale or $25 at the door, which Redding said "allows music enthusiasts of all budgets to experience this extraordinary all-day event celebrating alternative/emo culture, local talent, small business, food and art vendors, and
connecting fans with their favorite artists."

Pre-sale tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at shorelinesummerfest.com. The event is all ages, but dogs/ pets are not permitted. For the latest updates and further information, please visit shorelinesummerfest.com
