'Amazing' East Haven Dad 'Supports Us In Every Way,' Daughters Say

EAST HAVEN, CT— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. East Haven, meet Nicholas Gogliettino.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Gianna and Ava Gogliettino who nominated Nicholas Gogliettino of East Haven.

What makes your dad extra special?

He’s an amazing single parent, police officer who cares of two young women. He supports us in every way possible — school, work, life, all while working overnight, and lots of days as well! It’s just awesome how he stepped up to be a single dad of two daughters!

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

As a single dad of two girls is just not heard of enough. Dad has been there always and forever. He helped Gianna (his oldest) open her own business and get a safe vehicle, and Ava his youngest daughter through the “hard years” through middle school and onto high school.
