East Haven Chamber of Commerce Annual Tree Lighting Celebration Set For Nov. 29

EAST HAVEN, CT — The East Haven Chamber of Commerce noted in a news release that it is "proud to host The East Haven Chamber Annual Tree Lighting Celebration, a beloved community tradition that brings families, friends, and neighbors together to celebrate the joy of the holiday season."

Set for Nov. 29 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the East Haven Town Green, the eagerly-awaited seasonal event includes live entertainment, cookie decorating for children, horse and carriage rides around the Green, bounce houses/activities, crafts, local sponsors, bike and wreath raffles, food trucks and hot chocolate, and holiday treats, and performances by CenterStage Dance Academy, WISP Singers, and the East Haven Wassailers. The festive family event is capped off with a special visit from Santa Claus before the official tree lighting at 5 p.m.

In the spirit of the season of giving, the Chamber will also be accepting donations of wrapped toys for the East Haven Fire Department's Annual Toy Drive. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, wrapped toy to the Green and drop it off at the Home Depot 'Tree of Hope' located at the event.

"It’s a magical time when our entire community comes together to celebrate, support local businesses, and share in the holiday spirit," Jennifer Higham, President of the East Haven Chamber of Commerce, noted. "Every dollar raised goes directly toward making this event possible."

Steve DeLucia, Chairman of the East Haven Chamber of Commerce, said that the event "represents the very best of East Haven."
