June 30-July 9, incoming 9th graders can explore Woodworking, learn to cook in Culinary, and build projects in Manufacturing, and get perks!

EAST HAVEN, CT — Students who'll be entering ninth grade this fall can explore career and technical education courses for credit at East Haven High School's second annual CTE summer camp.
From June 30 to July 9, incoming ninth graders can explore Woodworking, Culinary, and Manufacturing and participate in a variety of activities to prepare for the transition to high school. Students who attend the CTE camp have the potential to earn .5 credits toward graduation and, get their high school class schedule early.
In the culinary course, students will explore the culinary industry while learning to follow simple, recipes and practice basic techniques.

In the woodworking course, students will create a variety of projects, using traditional and automated machines, including a laser engraver.
In the manufacturing course, students will learn more about high-paying manufacturing jobs and build projects.

Other CTE camp benefits include earning community service hours, meeting high school teachers building, making cool projects to take home, learning how to cook and exploring a variety of high school classes.
Breakfast and lunch is provided. Transportation is not.
