East Haven Mom An 'Amazing Role Model,' Daughter Says

EAST HAVEN, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your mom extra special?

My mom is extra special because she’s an amazing role model for me. She’s always there for me when I need it. She’s like my best friend. I can always tell her anything if I’m having a hard time. When my mom steps into a room, everyone’s moods change because she’s just always happy and putting other people first before herself.

Why do you feel your mom deserves the spotlight?

I feel that my mom deserves the spotlight because she needs to be recognized for everything that she’s done for me, my brothers, my dad, and even my dogs. She is a hard worker that always finds time for her family. Even after busy work days, she always has a smile on her face. She always put us before herself, and I think she deserves all the attention on Mother’s Day!
