East Haven's Memorial Day Procession, Ceremony Honors The Fallen

Monday, the town will "honor soldiers lost to war with a memorial ceremony," East Haven Mayor Joseph A. Carfora said.

EAST HAVEN, CT — The East Haven Veteran’s Council and Mayor Joseph A. Carfora will honor all those who made the ultimate sacrifice on Memorial Day.

Monday, the town will "honor soldiers lost to war with a memorial ceremony," Carfora said.

The ceremonies and remembrances will feature a procession from the American Legion Post 89 on Thompson Avenue to the East Haven Town Green. It's scheduled to leave at 11:40 a.m. from Post 89, arriving at the Green at noon.

All East Haven veterans and town officials are invited to participate in the procession. Those who walk in the procession are asked to arrive at Post 89 no later than 11:30 a.m.

This year’s Honored Veteran is Frank McCarthy.

After the conclusion of the ceremony, all are invited to return to Post 89 for refreshments.
