It's An East Haven Rotary Club Thanksgiving For Those In Need

EAST HAVEN, CT — For the 17th year in a row, the East Haven Rotary Club will be providing East Haven residents a free, full-course Thanksgiving Dinner available for delivery on Thanksgiving Day starting at 9 a.m. The takeout dinners, packaged by Shoreline Café, will be picked up and delivered by Rotary members.

East Haven residents who are in need and wish to have a holiday dinner delivered, are being asked to contact Rotarian Ashley Lesco at (203) 208-8212 or by via email Ehrotarygivesthanks@gmail.com by Friday, Nov. 17.

Residents must indicate the number of meals that are needed. All meal deliveries will begin at 9 a.m. Thanksgiving Day.

"With the continuing economic climate, many more families may find themselves in need of some type of assistance and the Rotary is encouraging residents to feel comfortable to participate in this program," the Club noted.

In 2022, the Rotary Club provided more dinners than ever before.

“On behalf of the Rotary Club, I would like to extend our gratitude to Shoreline Café as they graciously agreed to take over the preparation of the meals because of the closure of Boston Market," Lesco said. "We are extremely grateful, as they will play a vital role in the success of this community service project."

With the increasing needs of the community, especially this year, monetary donations would be
greatly appreciated. Anyone wishing to donate may also contact any East Haven Rotarian or
mail checks payable to East Haven Rotary Club, Inc. with “Thanksgiving Donation” in the memo
section, to P.O. Box 120598 East Haven, CT 06512. You may also go to the Rotary website
www.easthavenrotary.org under Donate Today choose Thanksgiving Dinners to make a
monetary donation.

The East Haven Rotary Club, an approved 501c3 corporation, is celebrating its 84th anniversary as it was founded in 1939. Since that time, Rotarians from East Haven have been involved in thousands of projects helping the residents of not just East Haven but around the world.
