It's Tradition: Twin Pines Offers Seniors, Vets, Free Easter Dinners
Seniors, veterans, and those in need in the community, may enjoy an Easter Sunday dinner with all the fixings. Sign up by Friday.
EAST HAVEN, CT — As is its longtime tradition, the iconic Twin Pines Diner in East Haven is offering free Easter Sunday dinners for senior citizens, veterans and those in need in the community.
People who wish to receive the holiday dinner should register by calling Twin Pines by Friday at 203-468-6887.
According to owner Jim Triantis, the tradition of providing holiday meals is "very important to the community."

"I've been here 45 years," he said. "Last year we gave away 300 dinners."
This year’s effort also includes the delivery of over 100 Easter baskets to local children in need,
distributed through East Haven Public Schools.

Triantis said the menu includes turkey, Virginia ham, potatoes, vegetables, and dessert. Those who register may pick up their meals at Twin Pines Diner, 34 Main Street, East Haven., on Sunday anytime after 9 a.m. and until 4 p.m. But register first by calling the diner at 203-468-6887.
