Jean Andros obituary: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

Jean Andros 82 of Branford, formerly of Guilford passed away November 20, 2025 at the Guilford House. She was born July 5, 1943 in New Haven to the late Philip and Genevieve (Michahelles) Andros. Jean is survived by her devoted companion, John Koch of Madison and her two siblings; Philip Andros (Linda) of Clinton and Carolyn Branchini (Vincent) of PA along with five nieces/nephews; Eric Andros (Nancy), Daniel Andros (Tara), Bradley Andros, Diana Branchini and Marissa Bakermans and six great nieces/nephews.

Jean graduated from East Haven High School and then began her career at SNET (now AT&T) where she worked for over 30 years and retired as a pension fund investment consultant. While working she attended Paier Art School and then received her Bachelor’s degree from Albertus Magnus College graduating with honors.

As a member of the New Haven Ski Club, she had the opportunity to ski in both New England and Europe. She and John enjoyed vacationing at Rhode Island beaches, taking trips to Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, National Parks and Florida.

Jean was witty creative and artistic. She had a great sense of style and was always perfectly dressed. She used her creative talents to make handmade ornaments for the Congregational Church Christmas fair. She loved family gatherings and keeping up with the activities of her nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Compassionate Home Care for the love and care they showed Jean and especially for her aide Barbara with whom Jean shared a special bond.

Family will receive friends on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 PM (NOON) in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven with burial to follow on the family plot in East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven
