Landfill Open Thursday So Folks Can Dump Storm Tree Limbs, Brush

For East Haven citizens, with proof of residency, it's free to dump branches and brush blown into their own yards during Tuesday's storm.

EAST HAVEN, CT —The town landfill will open Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for town residents to — at no charge — get rid of brush and tree limb debris littering yards from Tropical Storm Isaias’ winds.

Contractors however are not permitted to dump brush, tree limbs and yard materials.

To use the Commerce Street facility, usually open Friday and Saturday, one must be an East Haven resident and the materials must come from an East Haven residence. Please provide proof of this in the form of a valid Connecticut driver’s license or a property tax bill at the time of pass purchase.
