Michael Thomas Langan of East Haven CT obituary: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

Michael T. Langan, of East Haven CT, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 52 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born March 25, 1973 in New Haven to Thomas Langan (Janice) and Karen (Kelly) Langan both of East Haven.

Mike graduated from Laurel High School in Laurel MD where he was a renowned pitcher on the Varsity Baseball team in the graduating class of 1992. He was employed for 10 years with La Gringada Mexican Restaurant in Beltsville, MD where he served as a cook and built life lasting friendships. He went on to pursue a career within the family business, Langan Insulation under Local 33, serving as an Estimator and mastered his craft as an Insulator.

Mike continued pursuing sports throughout his life, playing softball on the East Haven Sunday morning league, coaching softball teams at The Pit, and regularly watching his favorite sports teams with family and friends. He was a die-hard, loyal fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Redskins.

Mike is survived by his loving parents, his sister Michelle Langan, his devoted daughter, SSG Daniele Langan (SFC Elizabeth Ochoa), US Army, his niece, Sofia Canter, numerous step siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. Mike was a kind and loving soul who brought so much joy to his family and friends. His love was unconditional and his presence will live on forever in our memories and we cherish every moment of time we had with him.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 10 AM in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven (Please go directly to St. Vincent on Thursday). All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private.
