Obituary: Margherita Milano (Porto Funeral Homes)

Margherita Iaderosa Milano, 89, of North Branford, beloved wife of the late William E. Milano, passed away on November 26, 2025 surrounded by her family at CT Hospice. Loving mother of Salvatore (Deborah) Milano of Guilford and Annamarie Milano of North Branford. Grandmother of Sean (Amy) Milano and Michael (Chandler) Milano. Great grandmother of Tate, Rhys and Tessa Milano. Sister of the late Silvia Ardolino, Josephine Pagnozzi and Antonio and Vincenzo Iaderosa. Margherita was born in Cervino, Italy on May 2, 1936 daughter of the late Francisco and Maria D’Arco Iaderosa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Margherita loved spending time with her family, loved cooking for them and with them. She loved making homemade pizza, pasta, sauce, bread and many other dishes. Margherita loved everyone she met and had a beautiful smile. She loved visiting her many friends and having a cup of coffee with them regularly. Margherita loved the Lord and loved serving him. She was a member of Vertical Church/Living Word Ministries where she served as a hostess and greeter for over 40 years. She recently attended Vox Church for over one year and was a weekly greeter even at the age of 89. Prior to her retirement, Margherita was a crossing guard for 48 years for the Town of East Haven. The Milano family would like to thank the staff at CT Hospice and all of her close friends for the care that was shown to Margherita during her illness.
Family and friends are invited to a parlor service on MONDAY morning, December 1, 2025, in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Family and friends may call MONDAY morning from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
