Patricia Ann Altieri Basilicato, 83, of North Haven formerly of Northford, beloved wife of 61 years to the late Felice A. Basilicato, passed away on August 8, 2025 surrounded by her family at the Montowese Center for Health & Rehabilitation. Loving mother of Paula Basilicato of East Haven and Louis Basilicato of Milford. Grandmother of Dylan Longo. Sister of Lenore Carrone of North Haven and the late Charles Altieri. Patricia was born in New Haven on July 15, 1942 daughter of the late Louis and Lottie Leleniewski Altieri. Prior to her retirement, Patricia was a loan officer for the First CT Credit Union. Pat was an exceptional cook and baker. She was in a gourmet club for over 20 years. She always baked an obscene amount of cookies and pies for the holidays and loved hosting gatherings for birthdays and holidays. She always had her home decorated for all occasions and seasons. Pat bowled for over 30 years in various leagues including St. Frances Cabrini in North Haven and the Dolls & Debs league in East Haven. She enjoyed playing poker and setback, bocce, ceramics, crocheting, singing, old movies and she loved to travel. She was a big sports fan. Back in the day, she played recreational softball and volleyball for the town of North Branford. She also enjoyed playing tennis, bumper pool and ping pong with family. Her favorite teams were the NY Yankees, NY Giants, Boston Celtics and UConn Huskies Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams. Her greatest love was being a grandmother to her grandson. She was his biggest cheerleader, attending all life events and achievements with pride and joy. Pat loved her family and will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity and unselfishness, along with devotion to her family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to A Mass of Christian Burial on WEDNESDAY morning, December 10, 2025, at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
