Open A Few Months, With Ribbon Cutting, It's Official: Jimmy Johns A Main Street Fixture

EAST HAVEN, CT — As noted on Facebook last week, Will Roth is the Jimmy John's franchisee of the popular chain sandwich shop at 320 Main St. in East Haven.

Roth announced the shop's Oct. 23 "grand opening" on Facebook but added that while the eatery has been open for business for months, the ribbon-cutting last week with the East Haven Chamber of Commerce and town and state officials was the "official re-introduction to the community now that we have our staff and operations running smoothly."

On the East Haven location's Jimmy John's webpage, it's noted that. "At Jimmy John's in East Haven, we don't just make sandwiches."

"We make the sandwich of sandwiches. We use fresh vegetables because we don't hate salads, we just feel bad for them. We hand-slice our provolone cheese and meats every day, because packaged pre-sliced meats doesn't have the same ring to it," it reads. "And we bake bread all day, every day because stale bread isn't bread, it's…croutons."
