The Party Starts Early: July 4th Fireworks 2023 In East Haven

EAST HAVEN, CT — Anxious to get Independence Day festivities under way, East Haven starts the summer party a little early.

Here's what you need to know about the day-long festival of food, fun, fireworks and live music at the East Haven Town Beach:

East Haven's 21st Annual Beach Party and Fireworks display, Saturday at the East Haven Town Beach, Cosey Avenue, 9:15 p.m.

What to expect:

Live Music, Entertainment

Soundcheck Band plays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Rahsaan Langley Project plays from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

He Will Rock You (Tribute to Journey, Queen, Starship, Styx & More) plays 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

99.1 WPLR hosts the event, bringing a "pump up the party atmosphere."

Food

There will be a variety of food vendors and concessionaires serving up tasty treats throughout.

Fireworks

The day wraps up with a "spectacular fireworks display, lighting up the sky" around 9:15 p.m.
Parking/Public Safety

And to ensure everyone's safety, please note that street access to the beach will be limited, with road closures in effect from 9 a.m. The East Haven Police Department will be on hand to guide motorists around the area.

Rain?
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held on Monday, June 26, with limited entertainment and fireworks.
