Civil Svc 9 years, BOE 3terms, 6 years
Why are you seeking this office?
The work the Board has done over the last 6 years that I’ve been a member has been outstanding and I would like to continue.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Experience! Having been in the classroom for 20 years I know what works and what doesn’t.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Continue to hire and retain the best qualified staff. Work with administration to strengthen our core curriculum ant to improve test scores.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
My 3 previous terms on the Board and my background in education.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
To be true to yourself and to treat everyone with respect!
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I’m proud of the work that the Board has done while I’ve been a member. I’m also excited about the many new and innovative programs that we have put in place.
