State Sen. Cohen, Who Represents Part Of East Haven, Responds To Attack On Police Officer
"Our men and women in blue risk their lives to keep us safe. That sacrifice, and that of their families, deserves our utmost respect:" Cohen

EAST HAVEN, CT — State Senator Christine Cohen issued a statement in response to the Nov. 30 "targeted attack" of an East Haven police officer. Officials describe it as an "unprovoked attack on an occupied, marked East Haven police cruiser" at the Foxon Road ShopRite plaza.
"In the strongest possible terms, I condemn the attack on an East Haven police officer over the weekend. As Senate Chair of the Transportation Committee, I have worked closely with law enforcement to ensure they can properly address dangerous and frightening street takeovers. To see these acts committed against a responding officer is unacceptable and I want to see these individuals prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
Cohen joins of chorus of state and local officials denouncing what police said was a "targeted attack."
