EAST HAVEN, CT — A woman went to a Russo Avenue address early Thursday morning to pick up a friend when two men inside the condo "grabbed her keys off the counter and fled the apartment," and then sped away in her car, police said.

According to East Haven police spokesperson Capt. Joseph M. Murgo, the victim witnessed the men take off in her car. It was 6:45 a.m.

Two hours later, police found the "stolen Dodge Challenger in New Haven, being operated by the suspects who had fled the apartment earlier in the day," Murgo said.
