"I like to get these kudos from the public. They prove that the firefighters uphold the high standards of professionalism that the public expects," he said, "And that they follow through on my expectations of them as firefighters."
Dear Chief Marcarelli,
I was involved in a car accident on N. High St., Saturday night. I was a passenger in my daughter’s car, when a young man did not stop his car as we were at a red light. He hit us so hard it caused a great deal of damage on both cars.
Thank God I was not hurt, but my daughter and son-in-law were hurt. I want to especially thank East Haven firefighters for the beautiful care they gave to us. They did not leave us. And they took especially good care of me. I am Chris Guilfoil's grandmother and I am very proud of him and all his wonderful firefighters. Your firefighter Fred Parlato took excellent care, comfort and help to me. I was very nervous and he made me feel so much better.
Thank you again to the most wonderful group of young men we called the East Haven Fire Department.
Thank you.
