EAST HAVEN, CT — In his first term in office, East Haven Mayor Joseph A. Carfora said that he'd been left a "crumbling infrastructure" to contend with, including the gazebo on the Town Green: "The gazebo was cracking. It was not maintained and, in some areas, it was unsafe." He promised that it, among other major projects, including a complete overhaul of the town's ice rink and major repairs to the public works roof, were on his agenda.

Re-built from the ground up by the town's Public Works Department, the gazebo is a showpiece, and this Sunday on the Town Green, it will be celebrated.

"After a week of fun at Saint Pio’s Carnival, join us at 5:30 p.m. on the Town Green for great music and a special celebration of our newly constructed gazebo," East Haven Mayor Joseph A Carfora said. "We’re excited to celebrate this project with everyone who played a part, whether through their hands on work or by sharing the vision of beautifying our town."
