Party Affiliation:
Republican

Occupation:
I am a mother for 24 years as a Homemaker, and also local Business Owner for 5 years.

Family:
Our 5 children (ages 23-15) have all gone through the Ellington School System. Thankful for all the great teachers and staff that have made their experiences great.

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
My husband Jon Moser is on the Zoning and Planning board in Ellington

Previous public office, appointive or elective:
I have been a Board of Education member since 2021.

Why are you seeking this office?
It is my pleasure to work for the town residents and families to connect and grow the excellency of our school curriculum. By fostering innovative educational programs, we aim to empower every student to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Through strong community partnerships, and a commitment to lifelong critical thinking, we will ensure that Ellington’s schools remain a cornerstone of our vibrant town, preparing generations to lead with creativity and resilience.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
We want to keep our schools focused on our children’s education that will help them in the future. We want them to keep asking questions and being innovative with critical thinking skills. “The whole idea of a public education was to train young people about how our system of government works, so they could be good citizens and be part of it.” Sandra Day O’Connor.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
It has been an absolute privilege to serve the Ellington community and school system over the past four years, collaborating with our exceptional employees and dedicated teachers to enrich the lives of our students. Their passion, creativity, and commitment to excellence have made our schools a cornerstone of opportunity and growth. I am grateful for the tireless efforts that have strengthened our curriculum and continues a nurturing environment where every student can thrive. As we move forward, I am excited to continue this journey, building on our successes to ensure Ellington remains a star of educational innovation in CT

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have and will continue to vote in the best interest of our students. I will also strive to be fiscally responsible for our town citizens. Using the skills of the administration and staff of Ellington Schools, we will foster good relations with the town administration and town constituents to run a great school system in a world that is rapidly changing.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
My parents and many wonderful people in my life have shown me the "Golden Rule" from Matthew 7. Do unto others and you would have them do to you.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
