Ellington 3rd Grader Shows Her Art at the Capitol

State Sen. Gary D. LeBeau, D-East Hartford, speaks with Windermere Elementary School third-grader Samantha Cutis about her depiction of a cardinal while in the Senate Chamber of the State Capitol on Tuesday, March 29, as part of Sen. LeBeau’s annual “Art at the Capitol” event.

For several years, Sen. LeBeau has hosted meetings in the Senate Chamber of art projects by elementary school students from East Hartford, East Windsor, Ellington and South Windsor.

A display of all student art will begin Monday, May 2 in the concourse of the Legislative Office Building in Hartford; a reception for the artists is scheduled for May 12.
