Arrest Made In Connection With 2021 Homicide In Somers
A member of a motorcycle gang was arrested Wednesday on a warrant charging him with murder and other felony offenses.

SOMERS, CT — A member of a local motorcycle gang was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a warrant charging him with murder and several other felonies, in connection with a lengthy investigation into a 2021 homicide in Somers.
Around 1 p.m., Eastern District Major Crimes detectives, the Statewide Narcotics Task Force-East, and Troop F personnel located Timothy Lange, 35, in Haddam and took him into custody, state police said. He was charged with felony murder, first-degree kidnapping, conspiracy to commit first-degree kidnapping, first-degree accessory to kidnapping, first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and accessory to first-degree robbery.
Lange, a resident of New Britain, is a known member of the Outlaws motorcycle gang. He is being held in lieu of a court-set $1.5 million bond, and was slated to be arraigned Thursday in Rockville Superior Court.

On Aug. 5, 2021 around 10:25 a.m., the body of Jason Comes, 38, of Wilbraham, Mass. was discovered inside a vehicle in a remote section of Durkee Road in Somers, state police said.
The arrest warrant is currently sealed by court order, so no further information was provided.

The investigation remains active, state police said, adding they received crucial assistance from Homeland Security Investigations, the Enfield Police Department and numerous other law enforcement agencies.
