Benefit Event Next Week Honoring Somers' Nick Coleman
There will be a Stroll for Strength event on Nov. 27 and the late Somers teen will be recognized.
Longmeadow High School will be honoring the late Nick Coleman during the 8th Annual Stroll for Strength next week.
Each year a number of honorees are remembered during this event, which is happening on Wednesday, Nov. 27, according to a post on a tribute Facebook page to Coleman. The school is located at 95 Grassy Gutter Road in Longmeadow, Mass.
Step-off time is at 1 p.m. Those interested in attending and walking should arrive early, the post said.
"Every cent raised here goes back to the families. Funds we receive will be added to the account of the Nicholas David Coleman Foundation which provides scholarships to deserving students and gifts to Nick’s Alma Mater – the Somers School System."
Registration fee is $10 and commemorative T-shirts are $10.
