Drugs, Guns Discovered During Raid On 'Illegal' Repair Shop In Somers

State police searched an "unlicensed" repair shop and discovered a drug factory, according to an arrest report.

SOMERS, CT — What started as a raid on a suspected unlicensed repair shop in Somers turned into additional gun and drug charges against a local man.

Randy Guyette, 53, of Somers, was arrested June 4. State police said the initial warrant was to inspect a suspected an unlicensed garage operation at 46 Hall Hill Road. For that, he was charged with with illegally operating a repair shop, according to an arrest report.

According to an arrest report, while at the Hall Hill property, state police discovered sale quantities of ketamine, crack cocaine and prescription medications, along with three guns. There was also evidence of a drug factory on the premises, according to an arrest report.

He was additionally charged with illegal possession of prescription drugs, the use of drug paraphernalia, operating a drug factory, possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a firearm and altering a manufacturer serial number.

Guyette was initially held on a $100,000 and he appeared in Rockville Superior Court the following day. He was ordered held without bond and due back before a judge on July 17, judicial system records show.
