Phi Sigma Biological Sciences Honor Society was founded at Ohio State University, March 17, 1915 for the purpose of promoting research and academic excellence in the biological sciences. Membership in Phi Sigma is not merely for recognition of academic excellence and achievement; it also serves to further develop interests, knowledge, and opportunities in biological sciences.
