Federal Lawmaker Office Hours, Water Main Flushing, Ellington Patriots
Five things to help plan your day on this 10th of September.

Good Thursday morning from Ellington-Somers Patch! Here's some news to start your day:
- TODAY: Representatives from Sen. Chris Murphy's office will be holding office hours in Ellington at 1 p.m. at Hall Memorial Library. Also, Rep. Joe Courtney's office will be holding office hours in Somers at 2 p.m. at the Somers Public Library.
- Somers: the Connecticut Water Company will be flushing water mains in town this Thursday, Sept. 12, from 7-11 p.m. So, if you hear running water on your street, it's probably from this. the water company will also be flushing the mains in Ellington on Oct. 25 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. More details here.
- The group Ellington Patriots is looking for volunteers, 75 in total, to participate in a great display of patriotism on Sept. 28. Read more about this project here.

- While we've been enjoying this fall-like weather for the past few days don't forget: It's going to be a hot one tomorrow. Forecasters are saying temperatures are supposed to hit the upper 80s on Wednesday and potentially reaching 90 degrees for some inland towns. Don't pack those shorts away yet. ;)
