Firefighters From Somers And Neighboring Towns Quickly Put Out Blaze
A house fire in the rear of a home on Parker Road was under control within 90 minutes Tuesday, according to fire officials.

SOMERS, CT — Firefighters and some neighboring departments worked quickly to put out a blaze in the rear of a home on Parker Road early Tuesday evening.
The fire was reported around 6:40 p.m. from a residence near the intersection with Pleasant View Drive. First arriving units reported a working fire in the rear of the house, anddetermined all occupants were out of the building, fire officials said on social media.
The fire was quickly knocked down by emergency personnel from Somers, with mutual aid provided by units from Ellington, Hazardville and Shaker Pines. Units cleared the scene by 8 p.m.

No injuries were reported. The Somers Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the incident.
