SOMERS, CT —An Ellington resident who invested 20 bucks in a CT Lottery scratch ticket at a retail outlet in Somers wound up with a $25,000 prize, according to the lottery website.

The winner, who opted to remain anonymous, purchased their lucky $250,000 Ca$hword ticket at the Big Y Express on Route 190. The winnings were claimed Friday, according to the lottery.

The CT Lottery routinely publishes winnings of $10,000 or more as public record.
