Somers Draws No. 2 Seed To Top Area Boys Soccer Tournament Qualifiers

CONNECTICUT — Nearly three dozen boys soccer teams from high schools in Hartford and Tolland counties will be among those competing for four state championships, as the CIAC released its tournament pairings Tuesday.

Among the 33 participating area schools, Somers is the highest ranked, earning the No. 2 seed in Class S and drawing a first-round bye. Defending champions Hall, East Lyme, Lewis Mills and Old Saybrook have all qualified for the chance to repeat their success from last year.

First-round competition will take place Nov. 1 and 2. Championship games are slated for Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 16-17 at Trinity Health Stadium in Hartford.
