Spring Practice Underway: Ellington, Somers Team Title Histories
The state title history for Ellington and Somers high school spring teams.
ELLINGTON-SOMERS, CT — The winter sports season is now behind us, the first day of spring looms on Tuesday and practices officially kicked off Saturday for all seven CIAC-sanctioned spring sports in Connecticut. With the coming of the new season comes the hope for success, with the ultimate goal being winning a state championship.
Ellington High School's 10 spring team state titles date back to 1971, while the first of seven state crowns for Somers spring teams came in 1990.
