State Troopers Recognized for Investigation into Bank Robbery

Award winners received medals and certificates from Commissioner Reuben F. Bradford and State Police Colonel Danny R. Stebbins for their actions that led to a confession to a Somers bank robbery.

Connecticut State Police Troopers, first responders and civilians recently received awards for service during a ceremony at the Connecticut State Police Training Academy in Meriden.

Troop H and the East Granby Resident Trooper’s Office were among those honored June 3 for their rapid response in "taking two suspects into custody while diverting a potentially dangerous situation" following a Sept. 11, 2012 bank robbery in Granby, according to police. The suspects ultimately confessed to the Aug. 25, 2012 bank robbery in Somers, police said.
