Town of Ellington Sells Off 2006 Ambulance for $37,500
The town's ambulance company retired the machine after purchasing a new one.

The Town of Ellington finalized this week the sale of a seven-year old ambulance.
The town recently sold a 2006 Ford ambulance to Ambulance Services of Manchester LLC for $37,500, said First Selectman Maurice Blanchette.
The sale happened after the Ellington Volunteer Ambulance Corp. purchased a new one for around $200,000 earlier this year, Blanchette said.
The town sold off the old apparatus without warranty, as Ellington doesn't want to take any representation for the vehicle after the point of sale, Blanchette said.
He noted that Ellington has worked with the Manchester ambulance company before, as the company had purchased an apparatus from the town in the past.
