2 Businesses Announce Imminent Relocation Out Of Enfield Square Mall
The businesses, which currently share space in the decaying mall, will become adjacent neighbors at a busy plaza in South Windsor.

ENFIELD, CT — The never-ending saga of what was once one of the more prominent shopping centers in northern Connecticut has taken another hit, as a pair of businesses who currently share space in the Enfield Square have announced their imminent departure for a much busier strip plaza on the main road through South Windsor.
SSUPhoto Designs and Galaxy Pops and Beyond plan to open as adjacent neighboring businesses Feb. 1 in the Colony Plaza on Sullivan Avenue, next to The Red Cabin restaurant and across the street from Geissler's.
In an exclusive phone interview with Patch, Galaxy Pops owner Rob Merrill said, "We are excited to officially announce that we will be moving from the Enfield Square mall after the holiday season to South Windsor. The larger, more prominent space will allow us to carry more collectibles, host more celebrity signings and start to run gaming tournaments."

Galaxy Pops carries a large assortment of Pokemon cards and supplies, Funko Pops, Lorcana, One Piece and Magic the Gathering. Merrill said another popular item is WWE action figures.
A special celebrity guest is being planned for the grand opening weekend in South Windsor on Feb. 1-2. Merrill said an official announcement will be forthcoming in a few weeks.

SSUPhoto Designs owner Dwayne Thomas, who opened the store in the mall space four years ago, said in a social media post, "While we didn't want to leave Enfield, the lack of transparency and deteriorating conditions at the mall led us to find a space that better accommodates our business needs."
