3 Injured In I-91 Crash In Enfield, State Police Say

ENFIELD, CT — Three people were taken to the hospital late Sunday night after a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 northbound near Exit 48, according to Connecticut State Police.
The crash was reported around 10:02 p.m. on December 28th in the left lane of I-91 North, state police said. Investigators said a Hyundai Elantra was disabled in the left lane after an earlier crash with a concrete barrier. A Toyota Prius slowed for the disabled vehicle and was then struck from behind by a Nissan Rogue.
The collision occurred while inclement weather was affecting driving conditions in the area.

The driver of the Toyota Prius, a passenger in that vehicle, and the driver of the Nissan Rogue Sport all suffered suspected minor injuries and were transported by East Windsor ambulance crews to Baystate Medical Center for evaluation, police said.
All three vehicles were towed from the scene due to damage, according to the report.

State police said the driver of the Nissan Rogue Sport was found at fault and was issued a written warning for following too closely.
