Enfield Man Hired as Local Insurance Executive

Vantis has a new assistant vice president of life underwriting, and he's from Enfield.

Vantis Life Insurance Company recently announced the hiring of Enfield resident John C. Miller as assistant vice president of life underwriting.

"We are excited to have John join Vantis Life. John is a seasoned insurance professional with strong management, training and mentoring skills. These skills will help the company continue to effectively manage our underwriting volume, which has increased by double digits for the past four years," said Scott Smith, Vantis executive Vice President and COO.

Windsor's Vantis also announced two promotions.

Edmund V. Mahoney, Vantis vice president and a resident of Simsbury, has been promoted to senior vice president of investments.

Gregory Roto, assistant vice president and an Eastford resident, was promoted to Vice President of human resources.

"We are very fortunate to have very high-caliber employees here at Vantis, and one of the values we hold dear in our corporate culture is to recognize the contributions our employees make to the company," Vantis President and CEO Peter L. Tedone said in a statement.

Tedone continued by congratulating both Mahoney and Roto, saying, "We.. look forward to many more years of working together at Vantis."

Mahoney and Roto have been at Vantis for four and nine years, respectively.
