Enfield PD Seeks Help With 'National Night Out'

Fun, fair-like event to promote police/community relations on Aug. 2 at Enfield Town Hall.

ENFIELD, CT — Local police are searching for area businesses and volunteers to help them provide booths and attractions for its annual "National Night Out" event Aug. 2.

The Enfield Police Department posted on Facebook Tuesday that local businesses and groups can come out and represent their establishments

The 2022 Enfield National Night Out is on Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. on the grounds of Enfield Town Hall, 820 Enfield St.

"This event is an opportunity for our police and community to get together and enjoy a family friendly night of music, games and socializing," reads the EPD Facebook post. "We are providing the opportunity to any local businesses/groups to come represent their establishments by assisting with the event."

Police said they are not looking for monetary donations, but rpeope to donate their time by running a booth/station.

Examples include kid friendly handouts, games, face painting or any other form of entertainment, police said in the post.

National Night Out is a nationwide movement in which police departments show the community what they do in a fun, friendly atmosphere, often in a fair-like, outdoor setting.

"This is a great opportunity for our community to get together and have a safe and fun night of entertainment," police said in the post.
