Enfield Police Release ID Of Victim Of Fatal Hit-And-Run Collision
A 49-year-old Enfield resident who was killed in a collision between a minibike and minivan on Route 190 Monday night has been identified.

ENFIELD, CT — A man killed in a Monday night collision between a minibike and minivan on Route 190 has been identified by police.
Police Chief Alaric Fox said the victim was John Richard, 49, who resided in the Hazardville section of Enfield, near the spot in Scitico where the collision took place.
According to police, the crash was reported at 8:02 p.m. on Hazard Avenue and Water Street. CPR was administered to Richard, but he was later pronounced dead, according to police.

A minivan which struck the cyclist initially left the scene, but shortly before 10 p.m., police arrested Judith Kostek, 66, of Enfield, and charged her with evading responsibility resulting in death.
The cause of Richard's death was blunt force impact of the head and torso, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner told Patch.

The crash remains under investigation, Capt. Bryan Nolan said.
