We asked Patch Readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:

  • "Cars flying by school buses daily"
  • "Seniors not being identified in our EMS"
  • "Heroin and opioids getting into the hands of kids, teens and adults. This epidemic needs to be stopped."
  • "Drug abuse tops the list. Next would be traffic safety."
  • "Drugs and chaos in the middle school (bullying, fighting, drugs in and out of school). It's toxic."
  • "Speeding all over, no sidewalks, drugs but at least the EPD is catching them."
  • "People running stop signs. Happens to me daily and I drive under 5 miles to work."
  • "Bad driving. I commute to Hartford but the speeding is worse here."
  • "Distracted driving"

Is there a problem that wasn’t mentioned? Share it with us in the comments below or on our Enfield Patch Facebook page.
