November Programs:
November programs will run Monday, October 31 through Friday, December 2. Registration for residents will begin on Monday, October 24 and non-residents on Thursday, October 27. The November newsletter is now available on our website www.enfield-ct.gov/seniors or in hard copy at the Senior Center.

Participant Surveys:
As part of the re-accreditation process, the Senior Center is asking everyone to fill out one or more of the following surveys: Participant Satisfaction Survey; Arts & Crafts Class Survey; Fitness Class Survey. The surveys can be found on our website or in hard copy at the Senior Center. We would appreciate your feedback.

Mindfulness Meditation:
Tuesday, October 25, 12:30-1:15pm.
Meditation is a practice in which an individual uses certain techniques to train awareness and achieve a clear, calm, and stable state. Fee: $3.00.

Fun Bingo:
Wednesday, October 26, 10:45-11:45am.
Drop-in and play a few games for small cash prizes. Cost is fifty cents per card. Please bring exact change.

Monthly Birthday Party:
Wednesday, October 26, 12:00pm.
Parkway Pavilion Health & Rehab join Community Café luncheon participants on the last Wednesday of the month to help celebrate their birthdays. All participants enjoy a birthday cupcake and birthday members receive a swag bag.

Medicare Workshops:
Wednesday, October 26 at 1:00pm – United Health Care
Medicare Open Enrollment runs from October 15 – December 7. Senior Stateline Services will be offering workshops at the Senior Center to discuss Medicare plan options.

Bingo with Home Helpers:
Thursday, October 27, 11:00am.
Nicole Matson from Home Helpers will call bingo games for prizes. Free.

TED Talks:
The Haunting Truth of Ghost Stories
Thursday, October 27, 1:30-2:30pm
Ghost stories reveal much more than the ghouls and spirits that haunt them. Settle in for a spooky delight as theater educator Coya Paz Brownrigg lays out three types of bone-chilling tales and exhumes the grave truths they hold about longing, meaning, and the cultural value of eerie encounters.

Card Making:
Friday, October 28, 9:30-11:30am.
Thanksgiving cards. Resident $4.00, non-resident $5.00.

Hauntings in Connecticut:
Friday, October 28, 2:00pm.
Presented by Joe the History Guy. This month we will dive into the paranormal, where we will find “other worldly” things happening like moving objects, random noises, poltergeists, and apparitions. Our state has long claimed to have more hauntings than any other. If you are brave enough, join the fun. Free.

Trip Registration:
Registration for the December 6 day trip to Christmas Lights & Song has begun. View trip details on www.enfield-ct.gov/seniors or stop by the front desk.

CHOICES Counseling:
Will St. George, CHOICES Counselor, will offer free 45-minute appointments on Friday mornings from 9:00am-12:00pm and Monday evenings from 5:30-7:30pm at the Senior Center. To book an appointment, call 860-763-7425,
