ENFIELD, CT — The likelihood of rain Saturday has prompted officials of the Enfield Little League to postpone Opening Day ceremonies.In a message to parents, league officers said, "We have been watching the weather extremely carefully and have made the tough decision to postpone our Opening Day festivities. We are making alternative arrangements for a closing ceremony, so please watch out for details on that coming soon." The message indicated games would go on as scheduled if the forecast changed, "so long as the town can prep the fields." According to the <a href="https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=41.9894962&amp;lon=-72.5746715" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">National Weather Service</a>, showers are expected to begin around 2 a.m., with thunderstorms also possible by early afternoon.
