ENFIELD, CT — The Enfield Democratic primary to choose a candidate for state representative will be held on August 13. The candidate who I believe will best represent our town in the state legislature is John Santanella. John was raised in Enfield and went through the Enfield school system. He truly cares about the town where he was raised.

As a member of the Enfield Town Council, John has been fighting to give our kids the best education possible. John believes that not enough has been done at the state level to help Enfield with our education expenses and the resulting tax burden. He wants to rectify that when gets to Hartford by fighting for more resourcesand thus ease the tax burden on Enfield residents.

John wants to make our state more business friendly and by the same token promote issues that affect working families, such as affordable health care, child care, and housing.

I represented Enfield in the General Assembly for sixteen years. I know what it takes to truly represent the people of Enfield. Our next state Representative needs to do just that, and that is why I’m supporting John Santanella in this August 13th primary election.
