Proud Boys Try, Fail To Donate To Enfield Loaves And Fishes: Report
The food bank rejected a donation from the far-right organization, which has been classified as a hate group, the Journal Inquirer reported.

ENFIELD, CT — Enfield Loaves and Fishes has rejected a donation of around 800 pounds of food from the Proud Boys, a far-right organization that has been classified as a hate group, the Journal Inquirer reported.
According to the newspaper's report, a volunteer who wasn't aware of the organization accepted the donation.
But Executive Director Maya Matthews told the Journal Inquirer that when she learned of the donation's origin she asked the Proud Boys to take the food back, saying the group's mission conflicts with the soup kitchen's values.

The Southern Poverty Law Center classifies the Proud Boys as a hate group, and the Anti-Defamation League said the organization is "primarily misogynistic, Islamophobic, transphobic and anti-immigration."
