With the coming of the new season comes the hope for success, with the ultimate goal being winning a state championship. Surprisingly, neither Enfield nor the now-defunct Enrico Fermi high schools have ever captured a team state championship during the spring months. However, a half-dozen spring teams from town have finished as state runners-up, including five from EHS.
